Q.What is the progress of th HF radio modem?
A. We have been progressing our development of the HF modem in parallel with
several other developments. We recently released our data modem for
VHF/UHF radio which has been very well received in the market . Our distributors
and customers have put us under significant pressure to re-prioritise our
development programs to expand the VHF/UHF modem range. As a consequence,
we have placed a number of projects on hold including the HF modem
development.

Whilst we recognise that this may be a disappointment to our HF customers,
we have to ensure that our finite engineering resources are devoted to
projects that meet the markets needs.

We will be returning to the HF and other development programs as our
engineering resources allow - expected Q2 2004.
